SenLife is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data when you interact with the SenLife app and outlines your rights regarding data protection.
Data Collection and Usage
- Purpose of Data Collection
We collect and process data to:- Provide personalised insights through the app to support users and clinicians.
- Improve app functionality and user experience.
- Support business management, contracts, and relevant communications.
- Types of Data Collected
- Personal Data: Includes name, date of birth, and contact details of parents and children.
- Behavioural Data: Daily diary data and behaviour profile provided by parents for AI analysis.
- Medical Information: Details shared by parents to assist with assessments.
- Non-Personal Data: Device information, IP addresses, and usage data for service improvement.
We (SenLife) consider ourselves to primarily be a data processor as it is you (the parents) who use the App to upload data relating to your child(ren) and we are just processing that data on your behalf by providing you with the App.
It is your choice what data you add to the app.
We are a data controller only concerning the data we collect from you: Name, email address and location (optional) and the storage of the data.
AI Data Processing and Clinician Review
The SenLife app uses AI to analyse behavioural data, generating insights intended as evidence to support clinician assessments. AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and do not replace medical diagnosis.
Data Security and Retention
- Data Security Measures:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between the app and servers is encrypted.
- Anonymisation/Pseudonymisation: Where possible, data is anonymised to protect personal identities.
- Audit Trails: Comprehensive records of data interactions are maintained for regulatory accountability.
- Only the right people can access data: Access to user data is limited. Only users – and professionals or carers users give permission to/share with – can view it. Strictly limited access within the SenLife team, only when absolutely necessary, and by minimal people.
- No selling, no sharing without consent: We don’t sell user data, and we never share it unless given permission by the user. The user is always in control.
- Data Retention and Deletion:
Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described. If the app remains inactive for 12 months we will email you to check if you would like to keep your account open. If you do not go into the SenLife app within 14 days from receipt of this email we will delete your data.
Parental Consent and User Rights
- The sharing of data is always optional and is controlled by you (either by inviting people to care for your child within the app, or the active sharing of insight reports you have generated), ensuring that privacy and data security are protected at all times.
- You are in control of your child’s data.
- The holder (you) of the SenLife account is the data controller. SenLife reasonably assume that this person is the parent or guardian of the child, and that all carers have been given permission and access to the account by the parent or carer to contribute to the account.
- We believe that it is appropriate and realistic for SenLife to assume the account holder has implied or direct consent from a child for their data to be recorded in the App. We have a reasonable belief that parents/guardians do this in the best interest of the child.
- User Rights under GDPR
If you are an EU resident, you have the right to:- Access: Request a copy of your data.
- Correction: Update inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request data removal when no longer needed.
- Restriction: Limit data processing.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability: Receive data in a portable format.

We may disclose data under these circumstances:
- Third-Party Services: Service providers who help operate the app under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws or protect rights, safety, or property.
Non-Personal Data Collection
We collect non-personal information such as device data to enhance app performance and user experience. This data is anonymised and does not identify individual users.
End of Contract Provisions
When you cease using the app you may delete your data or request data deletion.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
The app may contain links to third-party services. We do not control their privacy practices, so we recommend reviewing their policies before sharing data.
